[comp.sys.amiga.advocacy] Amiga vs the Human Brain

re0t+@andrew.cmu.edu (Ronald William Ely) (04/06/91)

Well I finally did it! Traded my old brain in for a shiny new
25mhz amiga 3000 motherboard. I don't know why I ever put up with the old
thing. My amiga does floating point ath soooo much faster that that silly
old organic technology, a must for the modern world. I don't need to worry
about system breakdowns anymore... a system failure now can be fixed with a
30 second reboot, while before it could take months of therapy.
I tell you, after 5 billon years of evolution I'd expect much better
preformance out of the cerebrum. I mean, the amiga has only been around
1/1000000000 of that time and already we've got a better user interface,
more accurate data storage, and way cooler games. And you have absolutely
no hope of hardware expansion. You want more short term memory? BAH!
7 plus-or-minus two registers with a 20 second lifespan forever. And you're
stuck with that terrible memory retrieval bug that doesn't let you remember
if you left your headlights on or not!
And how long have T.H.B. users been waiting for the lates OS upgrade?
They've been using that same old outdated education system that takes
20 years to boot up. All I have to do now is plug a modem cord in my ear
and upload the latest software off ab20!
Brains have their place, but for the real mind users/abusers, Amiga
is the only way to go!
