Clones span too many categories to be compared to cars this way. The first
generation (8088/8086) clones can certainly be compared to cheap cars with
sluggish performance -- they suck in every way except price. However,
a 486/33 is more like a Lamborghini Countach -- it ain't the prettiest or the
most comfortable environment for the driver, but it moves faster than anything
else.

No, a 486/33 is more like a dragster-it does one thing (accelerates) very
well. But it's uncomfortable, gets extremely poor mileage, and it's a real
pain to drive on the streets you're on 99% of the time you're in a car.

Try taking a hard right in a 486, or multitasking on a top-fuel funny car.
