Why do you assume that he (Gregory) has anything against DPS? I can't
speak for him, but I can say that I have nothing 'against' it, other
than the incessant babbling by all the Next junkies telling me that I
should dump my Amiga and buy a Next. One of the 'reasons' they
continually cite is that the Next has DPS. DPS is not enough of a
reason for me to change my computing platform. You'll have to do a lot
better than that.

<
< I think I've found my answer. Well, Greg, on an old '030 NeXT running 1.0,
< DPS was fast enough to run a reasonable flight simulator. But if you're a

You should know better than to throw around flippant remarks such as
this, and expect them to go unchallenged. I am a serious gamer, and
ray-tracer, and word processor, and 'databaser', and DTP'er, and
programmer, and ... well, you get the idea. Fine. You can do great
DTP, and run spreadsheets (which have never held much fascination for
me), and probably many other things, all with your Next. I'm happy for
you. Just don't go telling me that my Amiga is a second-class citizen
of the computer world, simply because it can do all those things AND
play incredible games (FAR beyond 'reasonable flight simulators').
