[comp.sys.amiga.advocacy] CDTV--in the hands of Amiga owners

dylan@june.cs.washington.edu (Dylan McNamee) (05/12/91)

Has Commodore announced CDTV add-on's to Amiga computers yet? It seems
that one of the best ways to sell this (along with the brilliant disguise
as an appliance) is to get it into the hands of as many Amiga owners as
they can, so word of mouth can take over. But most Amiga owners won't
buy it until it's an add on to their Amigas. Especially the hordes of
500 owners who spent less than half CDTV's price on their machine.

I really think that CDTV just needs to be seen to sell. I just saw one,
and I would have bought it if I didn't already have 2 amigas. I definitely
would have bought a CDTV add on, if available. It's basically one of "those
things" I've been waiting for computers to be able to do.

With the format wars (CD-I / CDTV) about to begin, the more momentum
CDTV gets early on, the better.

great product guys, now market it...
