I know Aussies on the net flame about Commodore Australia, but for the past ten

I don't know about their support for high end machines, but Commodore US
could learn something from them on selling 500s.

I walked into the Shinders News/Magazine Shop downtown yesterday and I saw
an Amiga-only slick mag called Amiga Format. And let me tell you, a brother
was impressed.

This thing had so many colors on the front, it was like it was saying, "Please
buy me before I blind you." I mean, the shopkeeper could have stuck this slick
way way back in the corner behind all the _freak_ mags and it still would have
caught someone's eye. There were 2 disks taped to the front, and all kinds
of letters and colors and arrows, so I grabbed it off the shelf and took a
closer look.

First of all let me point out that this sucker was over _THREE HUNDRED PAGES_
long!! And every page had vibrant colors! And there were all kinds of game
reviews, new product reviews, hardware reviews, and everything was in color!
And it was like they tried to cram everything onto every page! Graphics screens
and full color pictures of CPUs and other hardware, it was so suave. It puts
little rathead mags like .info and AmigaWorld to shame, with their little
piddly 80- and 100-paged half-done-I'd-rather-be-writing-for-IBM-anyway mags.

The only letdown about this is that it's a UK magazine. Damn! I wish Amiga
coverage was this good in the U.S.! I gotta give out a shout out to all the
UK counterparts who hang on the net, yall are definitely down with the
program!!

Now if we could get the ratheads from the U.S. to get off IBM's bandwagon...
