[comp.sys.amiga.marketplace] Good source for SCSI drives?

jlange@oracle.com (Jim Lange) (04/11/91)

I'm shopping for a replacement for my 30 meg Supra hard drive. I plan to
replace with 40 to 80 meg, but it must be 3.5" to fit in the existing case.

A local dealer (SF Bay area) has a Rodime 75 meg 3.5" drive for $265.00. Is
this a good price?

Does anyone know of a good source (mail order or Silicon Valley area) for SCSI
drives?

Thanks.

Look in the back of MacWeek magazine. Quantum 105meg drives, 11ms, $349 new.

Yes, that is a great price. But ask how fast it is, and make sure it is
a SCSI and not RLL or some other goofy IBM format. As for speed, expect
it to be under 30ms.

I know a really good source: Computer Shopper.
