PROGRESSIVE PERIPHERALS & SOFTWARE "FrameGrabber" - AMERICAN
NTSC COLOR MODEL.
An external book-sized black box which connects to ANY MODEL
(500, 1000, 2000, 2500, 3000) Amiga's RGB port (with included cable)
and parallel port (with cable you supply). External knobs control
signal intensity, hue, and color saturation. Software controls
everything else.
Can be cabled via "A/B" parallel port switchbox (not supplied) if
desired, so as not to lose the port for other device(s) such as
your printer.
Accepts one NTSC color video source such as VCR, LaserDisc, color or
black and white camera or camcorder, still video camera, etc.
Grabs color or black and white signal from still or MOVING sources
(such as a running VCR tape) in 1/30th of a second. Signal "downloads"
into Amiga via parallel port connection where software massages it
into resolution/color mode of your choice, saves as IFF in many
formats. Can also grab thru colored gel filter wheel in separate
RGB modes via typical "DigiView" type cameras.
Includes newer FG 2.0 software which is an extra cost option, not
free with new units sold in stores. New software has animation and
time-lapse features, more advanced image processing controls, many
additional features built in. Manual includes programmer's information
to write your own controller software if desired.
Both software versions written by Justin V. McCormick (well-renowned
author of PP&S' PIXmate software) in fast assembly language. Solid,
reliable, and very capable software.
Can also be used with brand new FrameGrabber loader supplied with ASDG's
Art Dept. Professional Version 1.0.3 (not included) for even better
results.
Original carton and internal packing, power supply "brick", instruction
manual, original 1.0 software and newer 2.0 software and manual,
monitor connector cable (for 1080 or 1084 monitors, either 9-pin
or round style rear connectors). Unit is out of warranty but is in
primo condition, never drop kicked, abused or otherwise insulted.
Stylish all-black original factory paint job.
When released, sold new for nearly $700.
