[comp.sys.amiga.marketplace] Where you can get the A3000 w/1950 for $1849.00 !!!!

ammrk@swbatl.sbc.com (Mike R. Kraml) (05/08/91)

Since I have had so many requests for the name and number of the
place where you can get the A3000 16MHZ 50MB hard drive with 1950 for
$1849.00, I though I would just post it.

The place is called Plato Computers, they are located in Illinois,
and the number is 618-254-8618. They are a real Amiga dealer, and
are great guys to deal with.

I am in NO WAY affiliated with Plato, just passing on a good value
to the Amigaoids on this net.

                                      Enjoy, Mike...

P.S. From what I am told, ALL dealers that purchase the A3000 16MHZ, are
receiving FREE monitors. Most dealers are not giving them away, but
Plato is, that is how he can offer this killer deal!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure of this? I think that you are, to put it bluntly, wrong, and I
think that this dealer is confused too. I believe that the free monitor deal
is seperate, and that it only applies to an Amiga 3000/16 bought at full price.
I do not think that the two deals can be mixed. Perhaps the fact that this is
the only dealer in the entire country offering this might be some indication
that there was an error made. I'd advise both you and the dealer to check into
CBM's offer again. If I'm wrong, tell me, and I apologize. I don't think I
am.

    OK, your wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I personally know 3 people how have gotten this deal. I never said he is
getting rich off this, but it is valid. I did talk to him, and he said it
is 2 deals, but they are letting him combine them (at his loss). Sorry, you
must have gotten ripped off or something, but I didn't. See ya, Mike...

I called Plato from here in the UK to check it up - The price is indeed right !

PS: C= are no longer manufacturing 16Mhz A3000's (they didn't sell) so that's
why this particular model is so cheap - they must have a pile of them
    in a warehouse somewhere.

PPS: you can't but a 16Mhz A3000 here in the UK at all any more !

Cheers
