[comp.sys.amiga.emulations] Bridgeboard Problems! Help!

FCS101@psuvm.psu.edu (FRANK C SMEEKS) (01/28/91)

Greetings,
I come to you once again in need of assistance. I have the following setup
 here at home: Amiga 2000 (1.3 ROMS), 2091 Controller w 157N SCSI Drive, 2088 B
ridgeboard (Updated? 3.6.1 ROMS or so I was told by the Commodore Technical rep
.), 3 megs memory total, Logitech Scanman Plus (PC side), AST SixPack (PC Side)
, Deskjet +, Supra 2400 Modem, additional 3.5" drive, and a HardCard 20 (PC).
Now the problem. Before I had my Hard Drive crash, I was able to use Harv
ard Graphics on the PC Side. Now I am unable to do that. In addition I was ab
le to use AREAd and AWRITE, another ability I have lost. The scanner works (i.e
. pictures can be scanned in to the machine), most other software works, except
Harvard Graphics... but it did work at one time because I have PRINTED proof w
hich came from my machine!!!! But now it does not. When I try the AREAD and AW
RITE from the Janus software there is also a no go. The machine locks up and I
am unable to continue on the PC Side. No partition is made on the HardCard Pl
us which is on the PC side for Amiga Software. Is there a possibility here tha
t I may need an Amiga Partition on the HardCard because it cannot use the 2091
interface? Is there a newer version of the software that works with these
controllers. Is there newer software for the so called updated ROMS? The PC Si
de does come up considerably quickerthan before I had the new drive/controller/
rom chips (1.3 and PC Roms) All of these items came from Commodore and should
work without a problem... right??? ha ha . Anyway any help would be immensely a
ppreciated. I am ready to give up and go buy a clone, sell the bridgecard and
admit defeat. Thanks ---- Frank
