The emulator exists, and I even think its on a Fish disk. It's a bit
slow, and you need the ZXspectrum ROMs . (16k). Actually, you need
a file 16 k long with their contents, but if you don't have a spectrum
or at least the ROM from one, I guess you are not allowed to copy it.
(This is not a claim of mine, this is a fact...)

Yeah!! It exists, and I bet it works great, too, although, I have
ZERO desire to buy a book with the disassembled ROM and type in all
16000 characters. And it has to be perfect too, but that's all
there is to it. The FTP can be found in abcdf20's emulation's
directory under /incoming/amiga/Emulations

I hope more emulators will be posted there....

Speaking about the ZX Spectrom rom, why I can't copy it in a file and
distribute it, and a publisher can do it in a book? They have a special
permission?
Another question: Here, at Brazil, we have a Spectrum 48K clone, called
"TK 90X" (I own one). It has a little different rom, 99.9 percent compatible,
with some new commands. Microdigital, the company who made it never had any
problems with Sinclair copyrights. I think the rom modification do not justify
it as a new and different code (only the messages were translated, a UDG editor
and a TRACE command were incorpored. The rom still have 16K). Probably, it will
work in the Spectrum emulator. The question: can I copy that clone rom and
distribute it? WARNING: I DO NOT INTEND TO DO IT!!! IT'S ONLY A CURIOSITY!!!
Of, course, I know the obvios answer: Microdigital has copyrights too! But,
here we have a proverb wich say "Ladrao que rouba ladrao tem cem anos de
perdao" or "Thief who thieving another thief has one hundred years of pardon."
:-) :-)

Only one problem. The Sinclair Package warns if you 1) use another code
						    2) Do not have the code EXACLY 16384 or something bytes.

If it = that number, then OK! else, BZZZZZZZZZT!

Good questions, though!

Indeed ZX emu exists. But it is about 8 times slower than original
... quite a disappointment to me, at least.
Guess I have to finally learn to use a joystick and stop using the
ZX as one. Great one it has been, though. ;) If I only knew where I
can get a new ULA chip. Well, I'll get it somehow... ;)

ULAs are easily obtaiable here in the UK. If you're desperate I will get one and mail
to you. Are you in the States ? They cost about 10 quid that's about 16 dollars I think
