The latest AmigaWorld has a review on A-MaxII where the author suggests using a black background to reduce flicker on interlaced displays. I tried this, but I found that setting the foreground color (the color text and icons use) to either pure red, green or blue also helps. I can now use A-MaxII with the contrast and brightness settings on my 1084 monitor set at the default half-way marks, and the flicker is actually quite bearable. Lou
