Well, Ive connected an Apple Imagewriter II to my Amiga in order to use it with AMAX II. I made the cable as described in the documentation, have installed the imagewriter driver in the system folder, have set the Amax configuration of both port to "Imagewriter emulation off", but still have some problems: In Macintosh mode ----------------- -When I print, some lines are ok, but some lines are trashed by some strings like "TOO" at the end or beginning of the lines, and so on... Sometimes, letters are inversed vertically or horizontally. In amiga mode: -------------- -I did not manage to print correctly with the notepad utility in auto-size mode. It prints ok, but after 5 or 6 lines, it prints crazy things. -When I print with Excellence, everything is ok. I'm pretty sure that my cable is ok, but I guess it does not work well because of 1) Bad configuration of Preferences (I use the Imagewriter II driver) 2) The switches inside the printer (I bought it second hand, so I'm not sure the configuration of the switches is the standard one) 3) Other ? Any help would be appreciated ! -- ------------------------------------------ Michel Buffa: Projet Robotvis, INRIA, France Internet: buffa@sardaigne.inria.fr Surface Mail: Michel BUFFA, INRIA - Sophia Antipolis, 2004, route des Lucioles, 06565 Valbonne Cedex -- FRANCE Voice phone: (33) 93.65.78.39, Fax: (33) 93 65 77 65 ------------------------------------------
