[comp.sys.amiga.emulations] Marc Tomlinson and the IBeM emulator

sjcst2@unix.cis.pitt.edu (Scott J. Corley) (04/20/91)

Sorry about the repost but I havent been able to get in touch with
Marc Tomlinson.

Marc , I've been running the demo version of IBeM on my A3000 for about
two weeks and I think I've found several bugs it. I have a demo version
of a terminal program designed for Prodigy , which is a online service
dedicated to PC clones and Macs. This is not a regular terminal program
because Prodigy is a graphics oriented online service like QuantumLink.
I know the the serial port doesnt work in the demo version but I tried
to run the demo anyway. The demo would load partway and then I would
get an error message saying: run-time error R6003 -integer divide by 0.
Is this a known bug with IBeM and has it been fixed in the regular version?

Another bug I've discovered with regards to IBeM is when I attempted to
run an GL animation with it. IBeM loaded the GL animation just fine and
started to run it but when it got halfway through I was dropped out of
the emulation and back into the CLI. The GL animation I was running was
specifically designed for CGA machines so I know the problem isnt caused
by incompatible (EGA,VGA) video formats. If you have FTP capability you
can get the GL animation from wuarchive.wustl.edu in the
mirrors/msdos/graphics directory. The name of the file is pdgrasp.zip

Is there any chance that you will add EGA emulation to IBeM? Those of
us with A3000s or FlickerFixer cards would be able to take advantage of
it. I'll be sending you the registration fee for IBeM this week.

               Thanks
                   Scott Corley
