I have uploaded to the ab20 archive a set of files in AmaxRam.lzh which will allow all Amax users (with enough RAM) to save their Amax RAM disk to any Amiga hard drive. This works with Amax I and II. It may also be of use to those who may already have hard drives that work with Amax, but would like to pre-load the Amax RAM disk before use. I also see this as an excellent way to do file conversions. I myself do not have the Mac expertise to decipher the Mac file system which will be contained in the RAM disk image that my program saves to disk. But I have looked at the file with a byte-level editor, and the files are there, just waiting to be read in and converted. This would even work for very large files, up to 7 megs if you have enough RAM. Enjoy. Clint Hastings return email: hastings@ee.utah.edu
