[comp.sys.amiga.emulations] How many PD emulators are available?

GELSON%SBU.UFRGS.ANRS.BR@uicvm.uic.edu (Gelson Dias Santos) (05/11/91)

Hi people! Nice to meet you! :-)
I read these newsgroups through amiga-relay and finaly, after hundreds of mails
to the relay administrator, we can read this newsgroup!

Then, I would like to know how many PD emulators are available to our amiga.
I know the followings:

- Spectrum0.3 - (is there any new version?)
- The A64 package (I never dowload it)
- IBeM - (I can't run on my A500...)
- apple2 - It work? I have only the source, and I don't "speak" C.

I'm very interested on Spectrum0.3, because I have one spectrum clone.
Is these any new way to transfer files, or read cassetes?

Some time ago I read a post about a ZX81 emulator. Is there anything like this?
Sorry if it is an old question.

the 68000 version of IBeM (which will work on ANY Amiga, with ANY amount
of memory) is very nearly ready according to Mark Tomlinson (the author).
I've actually seen it running - he's just trying to flush out the last
few bugs now...

There is indeed a new version (avaiable at ab20, I think). It's called
Spectrum0.6, and it's much improved over v0.3 - it's faster (on my 28Mhz
'030 it actually runs at about the right speed(!)), and it corrects a few
bugs. In fact, I managed to make it run Atic Atac very nicely.

I've been working on a way to transfer from tape to amiga for a few weeks,
using a standard amiga sound sampler for input. It's rather crude at the
moment (read: you need LOTS of memory); however, I have been able to
transfer programs up to about 35K succesfully. If anybody are interested in
this, or would like to help me test it out on other types of samplers, fell
free to contact me.

Yes, if someone knows anything about this, please share with the rest of
us!

I posted a mail last week asking about how many PD emulators are available
to the amiga. Unfortunately, my host had a disk crash this weekend and I lost
about 300 new mails... If you replied my question, can please, do it again?
If you didn't read my original mail, well, this is your second chance! :-)
  Thanks again,
