Mark , I downloaded the new demo version of IBeM while waiting for my full version to arrive from New Zealand and I've been playing with it for awhile and I've found some problems. The demo version still will not load my demo disk for Prodigy. You said to me in e-mail that you would try to get it working but apparently you didnt succeed. I'm not really concerned about that but I am concerned about a problem that IBeM has with disk I/O. I am using CrossDos ver 4.02a with IBeM and several times when I've formatted bootable floppies under IBeM the formatting has been munged. The actual process of formatting seems to go fine and the boot data seemd to have been put on the disk but when I do a DIR on that floppy in IBeM or AmigaDos its full of garbage and I have to reformat it. I have also encountered I/O problems with several shareware/PD program under IBeM. I've been testing the shareware program DataPlus under IBeM and it works OK except when it tries to set up the default floppy drive. It automatically sets the drive to drive A: which is the only floppy drive in the system. But when it tries to read from drive A: I get a "Abort , Retry , Fail" error message the first time it attempts to read drive A:. But when it tries to read the drive a 2nd time , the read goes fine. When I was using the old demo version of IBeM I didnt have these problems and the only thing I've changed is that I switched to the new version of IBeM. I have an A3000 25/40 with 2 megs Chip and 3 megs Fast Ram. Thanks Scott Corley spice@drycas.club.cc.cmu.edu
