Has anyone tried using the XT bridgeboard under workbench 2.0, so far I have not been able to get it working. It works perfect under 1.3 but when I switch to 2.0 it locks up and eventually takes the system down, if I remember correctly someone was saying that you could remove the sidecar directory under 2.0, haven't tried that yet though. I am running on an Amiga 2000 with a GVP HD controller and a 2058 memory expansion card. Thanks In Advance. 1) i assume you do not have an accelerator in your machine. if you do, you must disable data caching *before* binddrivers runs. to do this, use the command CPU NODATACACHE. 2) make sure you installed the amiga-side software (the PCInstall disk) on your 2.0 SYS: partition as well as your 1.3 SYS: partition. 3) do not use an overscanned workbench screen with pcwindow. 4) make sure your preferences fonts are all set to Topaz 8 - none of the amiga-side janus stuff expects fonts other than 8x8 pixels. 5) delete sys:pc/system/sidecarsettings.table if the system dies immediately upon starting pcwindow after you've fixed the above. all of the above except #1 will be fixed soon... >------------------------------------------------------------------------- >Only Amiga Makes It Possible Only Dead Fish Swim With The Stream! >Software Developer/Engineer For Acropolis Development // >Inet:Paul.Davis@bbs.oit.unc.edu (Space For Rent - Cheap Prices!!) \X/ >------------------------------------------------------------------------- --Scotty -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Scott Drysdale Software Engineer Commodore Amiga Inc. If it is can you give any idea if it will have support for PAL screens. I know it is C= policy not to give out info before release but nothing ventured, nothing gained :^). NO. again, to clarify - if you have a system with a data cache (typically 68030 or higher) and you are running ks/wb 2.0 or higher, you must put CPU NODATACACHE before BINDDRIVERS in your startup-sequence. if you have a late-model version of ENFORCER, you can use that instead (only disables data caching for the bridgeboard's address space). --Scotty -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Scott Drysdale Software Engineer Commodore Amiga Inc.
