I am looking for a macintosh init (or maybe cdev) called pointing-device. It is supposed to adjust the mouse speed settings and possibly other PRAM settings that do not get set up when AMAX boots. If anyone knows where I can find this, or a similar program, please let me know. It was supposed to be on sumex, but I've never been able to find it there. Ashok Vadekar avadekar@sunee.uwaterloo.ca

The init for speeding up Macs' (in this case, Amax's) mouse control is called "mouse2." I am pretty sure that you can pick one up at sumex. "Mouse2" is not compatible with A-Max II. The actual name of the
mouse accelerator you should use is "Pointing Device" and is FTPable
from sumex-aim.stanford.edu (36.44.0.6) -- It is in either the CDEV
or the UTIL directory under the INFO-MAC directory.
