[comp.sys.amiga.emulations] Another BridgeBoard problem

jheath@NPIRS.Purdue.EDU (Jim Heath) (06/05/91)

I am having a problem with my 2088 (? original) bridgeboard.
After the initial struggle to get space assigned on the extra
hard drive, it worked fine for about a year.

Recently, when I brought it up, I got the response that C: was
undefined. As far as the Amiga side is concerned, the file is
still there. Another symptom is when I do a couple dirs, the
characters become scrambled - not all of them, about 50%. Is
there any way to re-establish the link(?) from the BB to the hard
disk without having to start over? I have an Amiga (Quarterback)
backup of the partition where the fakec lives, can this be used
if I have to start over?

I recently installed workbench 1.3.3 and the guy I got it from
thought it was causing the problem. It could be, cause he
started having similar problems with his 286 BB.

I have a GVP
2002 SCSI card. I recently had a disaster with DiskMechanic and
had to reformat my primary drive. I had to reload the
BridgeBoard software (PC, etc.), but I was having the problem
before this.
