[comp.sys.amiga.emulations] Anybody had any luck with Amax and Synergy 500 HD controller?

  Hello.  Has anyone had any luck getting an HD partition to format under
Amax with a Pacific Peripherals Synergy 500 Hard disk controller? 
It's hooked to a Segate ST-138N HD.  I have a 5 megabyte partition set aside
for Amax.   I've named it Amax1, and I have the scsi drivers from Amax in
their proper place.   Yet when I boot the Mac system disk from the apple 
drive, it gets to the desktop, pops up with the little AMAX HD icon and
window and asks me if I want to format it.  I click on initialize and for a 
split second it says formating drive, then creating directory, then it
goes to the desktop and all is normal, except no HD icon,and the HD never 
spun an inch.   The Manual doesn't help much, either.
  Anyone, Anyone?
