[comp.sys.amiga.datacomm] ATalkIII phonebook problem

nfs1675@dsacg3.dsac.dla.mil ( Michael S Figg) (01/29/91)

I'm having problems updating my ATalkIII phonebook. Has anybody else had this
problem or know of a solution. The manual, if I remember correctly, says you
just need to hit the save button, but this hasn't been permanently saving it
for me. As far as I can tell the file is in the right place ("at3:Settings")
and I can edit that file manually and the change stays when I bring up the
phonebook next time.

What version do you have? Earlier versions (maybe 1-year old, I don't recall)
required a 2-click combination on an EDIT gadget + the SAVE gadget. The
later versions did away with EDI and SAVE does the whole job. If your version
has the EDIT button it is ancient, so I suggest you upgrade. If this is not
the case, e-mail me more details.
