Check out the January 1991 issue of Data Communications for a complete
comparrison of most V.32 modems. The article is entitled 'Test High-Speed
Modems the Right Way' and starts on page 82. They test the following models:

Company Model
------- -----
Digicom Systems Inc	9624E+
Hayes Ultra Smartmodem 9600
Microcom Inc. QX/4232hs
Multi-Tech Systems Inc.	MultiModem V.32
NEC America Inc N9635E
Octocom Systems Inc	OSI8596
Okidata Okitel 9600 V.32
Penril DataComm ALX V.32/14.4M
Telebit Corp T1600
UDS Inc. V.32/42bis
US Robotics Inc.	Courier HST Dual Standard

The only two ommisions from the list (that I'm aware of) would be:

Company Model
------- -----
Codex ???? (I know they have a V.32 modem)
Ventel 9600 PLUS

For more information on the Bell and CCITT standards for modem
communications, check out the November 1990 issue of Byte, page 353.

There is another v.32 modem that was not mentioned in your list. I recently
purchased the Practical Peripherals PM9600SA modem, v.32/v.42bis.
Practical Peripherals is wholly owned by Hayes, I am told, and their
modems are totally compatible. They come with a 5-year guarantee, and cost
considerably less than many others. The list price on this modem is $699,
but they can be purchased for about $450-475. Sysops can get them for
$349. Their phone number is 818-706-0333.

Incidentally - I love the modem.
