[comp.sys.amiga.datacomm] AmigaUUCP Plus and Arn - is there any more development on them?

ianr@mullian.ee.mu.OZ.AU (Ian ROWLANDS) (02/15/91)

I think the subject says it all. Do the authors read this group at
all? Are there any new releases pending (especially Plus)? And is there a
RELIABLE e-mail address for the authors (I've sent mail that disappears into
never-never land)?

the latest version of arn is v.67e, out a couple months now. the author's
email address is: roc@spirits.ka.sub.org, his name is Roland Bless.

the latest version of AmigaUUCP by Matt Dillon is v1.11, out a day or so
now, and matt's email address is dillon@overload.berkeley.ca.us. he may
take a few days in returning mail, he gets real busy. there are new
releases of amigauucp often, updating and debugging as new bugs crop up.

i don't know about amigauucp-plus, it didn't have adequate docs to explain
the map decoding when i was starting out, so i gave up on it. i've found
dillon's stuff more than adequate, especially since it now allows news
forwarding. for even better news setup, i hear cnews is superb.

look into the new newsgroups alt.sys.amiga.uucp and alt.sys.amiga.uucp.patches
for current info on dillon's uucp.
