I just got HandShake2.20c and just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents for what it's worth . . . The VT220 supports multiple and user definable fonts . . . I know that user definable fonts would be difficult, but how about an option to switch fonts when the appropriate VT220 escape code is sent? Does anyone out there know if it would be possible to write an Arexx script to do this? Has anyone written a script to do anything like this? A "strip the high bit" option would be very useful. Our DECServer has this bad habit of setting the high bit until we have finished logging on to our VAXes. Also, when using VMS's TYPE/PAGE, has anyone else noticed that HandShake and JrComm both put an extra LF in after you press return for the next screen. I don't know if VLT does this or not, but we have honest to goodness Digital VT220's and they don't add this extra blank line in between screen fulls. It's a bit annoying, but probably not serious . . . ___ __ |\ |\ | / \ SirOtto -- Gallant Knight of a rather large, squarish | \ | \ | / table someplace in the West Panhandle of Florida. | \ | \ |--< | \| \|___\____/ Michael E. VLT handles the extra linefeed after type/page correctly now (or at least I think it does - haven't tried lately 8). It was, er, interesting. VTxxx's are *so* strange. Willy.
