Does anybody knows of a terminal emulator for the amiga making full use of the extra lines provided by a PAL screen (all I know are limited to the 200 lines of NTSC screen (or 400 with interlace)). Or did I missed something in the Handshake (or others) docs? I don't care about exact emulation of any real-life terminal, after all, unix termcap is there to free oneself from these details :-) -- Colas Nahaboo, colas@sa.inria.fr, Bull Research, Koala Project, GWM X11 WM Phone:(33) 93.65.77.70(.66 Fax), INRIA, B.P.109 - 06561 Valbonne Cedex, FRANCE.

Newest version is propably 1.01 and it supports PAL (and can be forced to use only 200/400 lines). Also VLT supports PAL. -- Jarkko Lindblad lindblad@cc.helsinki.fi

From reports I got from Europe, I gather that VLT will handle PAL screens just fine. I'd say try it and tell me if it does. It has to be a real PAL system though, not just a "PAL Workbench" which is an option in 2.0 for NTSC systems with the new chips. Willy.

This is for both workbench and custome screens. Sure does. You should see that puppy open up on my 1008x800 Moniterm display! That's a big terminal emulator, especially using the thin character set. And GNU Emacs even handles it pretty well, though some of the cheaper ones get confused. -- Dave Haynie Commodore-Amiga (Amiga 3000) "The Crew That Never Rests" {uunet|pyramid|rutgers}!cbmvax!daveh PLINK: hazy BIX: hazy "What works for me might work for you" -Jimmy Buffett
