I am trying to get a high-bandwidth internet connection, somewhere in the
range greater than 64kbits per second. It seems that the best way to
connect a machine from home at this sort of baud rate is using ISDN. A
minimal ISDN link will give me two channels of 64 kbits per second, although
it will be quite expensive to get the local Telecom to give me a connection.
My question is: has anyone had any experience with ISDN connections, hardware
or software? And secondly, are there gateways from the ISDN packet-switched
network to the internet?
Thanks,
