I recently purchase my first Amy, a 2000, with a 2088 bridgeboard. I've gone through the installation, and things seem to be ok, until I run Kermit under MS-DOS. I get a terse "Warning: No hardware for this port," and "this port will be operated through the bios as BIOS2." I tried configuring the modem for COM1 and for COM2, have used MODE commands at MS-DOS, and so on. At one point, I thought I had it, I got into the Preferences menu in the emulator section, where you select the memory locations, mono and color monitors on or off, and serial port on or off. Ahaa!! Well, it WON'T LET ME turn the serial port on. Hmmm... The software is v1.2. The only thing the manual says about an internal modem on the IBM side is that it will work. I would, of course, prefer to get a modem for the Amiga side, and go from there, but I can't do it right now, and I also won't sell my IBM clone until I get this working. Thanks for any assistance on this, Scott Barber barber@jazz.concert.net
