[comp.sys.amiga.datacomm] What services do the commercial BBS provide?

  Hi everyone,
	      Well I'm writting to you from Australia,  where we only
have at most semi-commercial BB or Online services.  I was wondering
if someone in the USA (or even Australia, who had used these systems)
what additional things the Commercial Networks provide that your suburban
BBS doesn't?
     Obviously, I know they have HUGE file area's,  large message bases
inter-user chats, conferences, and On-Line shopping.  Could someone
tell me what else they provide?   Thanks in advance,
