I've been using DNET for some time and find it very useful. I am also in the process of writing BBS software for the Amiga. One thing that really caught my interest in the documentation to DNET is the reference to a DNET BBS. Has anybody really tried playing around with doing such a thing yet? It sounds as though Matt was close to having just such a BBS working. Is this true Matt? And if so, what's the status of this project? Soon I will begin work on a new bbs program that will be completely intuition based, and DNET appears to supply just the underlying error correcting protocol I need. The user would simply have BBS client software that is completely window and mouse driven. When the user then clicks on a gadget or something, this message will then simply be sent over the DNET connection to the BBS server at the other end. Has anyone else considered this idea? If the DNET software were then ported to other systems such as the MAC and Microsoft Windows for DOS machines, then we could have graphic window based BBS system that would be accessible by different computer systems... -- Rick Kent // Only California State University, Bakersfield \X/ Amiga!
