[comp.sys.amiga.datacomm] a boy and his modem and his problems

hi,

just picked up a 2400 baud mnp modem that's supposed to crank out
4800 baud with mnp. question:

when i set my software to 4800, it echos confusion and gives all
indications of mismatched baud rates.

what am i doing wrong?

or should things be set at 2400 and i am just so used to 9600b at work
4800 looks like what i remembered 2400 looking like.

any input appreciated.

chris

Some modems have a way to lock them into a certain modem<->computer
bit rate. Try looking in the list of AT commands for such a beastie.
There should be a cmd to force it to >2400bps.
