The -(nf) suffix is added by the "notesfile" system which is an alternative
approach to handling mail and news.  Ray Essick has handed out at least a
few copies of his software.  Perhaps he'll be kind enough to put his address
out on the net so that any interested newcomers can contact him for more
information.
