Anyone using the ftp mail server at ftpmail@decwrl.dec.com successfully? I have tried many sites. I have received a couple of sucessful dir commands, all other attempts yield just a message of receipt, or an empty reply. I have never retrieved a binary. If someone is having success with this service, could you email a site you refer to and an example mail message? NOTE: Please IGNORE the return address on this message if it says nobody@kodak.com. Use one of the return addresses specified below. <: Drool :> |----------------------------------| | There's so many different worlds | | There's so many different suns | | And we have just one world, | | But we live in different ones. | | | | - Dire Straits | |----------------------------------| UUCP: kodak!bisco!retreat!drool ARPA: retreat!drool@bisco.kodak.com

Does anyone know if there is an Amiga terminal program that has built in MNP error-correction/data compression? There are numerous ones on the PC [MTE and Commit, for instance] but none I know of on any other system. Is the MNP protocol info available for programmers to implement? I might be interested in writing MNP for the Amiga as perhaps a serial device [so any terminal should work with it] if I can get ahold of a complete description of it.
