Well, "solution" may be a bit overblown, but at least my problem is taken care of. What I did was to program register 21 for the decimal value of 32. I haven't taken the time to figure out how this washes out for each of the values of DCD, DTR, DSR and long space disconnect (besides, my binary is a little rusty), but it works... In case you're interested, the old value was 48. If any of you care to specify each of the values that comprise 48, be my guest...! Scott
