[comp.sys.amiga.datacomm] XPRZmodem V2.10

I saw just a small mention of the new zmodem library and it reminded me that I still haven't figured out what to do about it. When I used it (with NComm V1.92) and me and friendd were transferring it was VERY particular about who started f
rst. Basically, when ZModem Receive was selected if the other end wasn't alreadysending the download would abort. I called the BBS mentioned in the docs and left a message to Rick Huebner (I think the author) and his only reply was "it wor
s with VLT". I have heard that others were having trouble too.

Any help would be appreciated; prefer E-Mail (so I don't miss the replies).

					Thanks

You might tell Rick Huebner that I have heard reports of failures also with
VLT. It could be a timing problem, maybe a race condition somewhere. However
in the great majority of cases people seem to have little difficulty, but
then you never hear from people when they have *no* problems... 8^)

VLT:- I have found that it won't start a download reliably from a variety of
systems. It appears to be in the early handshaking. Can't remember if
it hangs before or after the file size is received. Before, I think,
but I wouldn't swear to it. I've ended up using the older version for
this reason.
Thinking about it, maybe it is uploads that fail. Oh, well.
