[comp.sys.amiga.datacomm] FIDO

Where can I get the latest versions of BinkeyTerm & Conference Mail for the
Amiga? The versions I have now are both 1.00 and are old. I'd like to get an
Amiga up receiving FIDO echos.

Well, try AB20.larc.nasa.gov, ftp. Otherwise, you could probably FReq
most of it from your nearest ADS site.

ConfMail is up to 1.12(SMP). It should be, as well as some other
stuff, in /incoming/amiga/fidostuff, or
/incoming/amiga/fido(somethingorother, dir /incoming/amiga/fido* to
find the two directories, but the stuff you want is in fidostuff)

I advise that you get WelMat, if you don't require ZedZap (only for
the time being, ZedZap for WelMat is imminent), and get TrapDoor if
you do. Both are excellent mailers, and far better than BT. Binkley
should be tossed out the window.
