Wasnt sure where this belonged since there isnt a comp.sys.amiga.virus... anyway I found a program called Viruscope which is supposed to protect disks from becoming infected with several viri like the BSG9 virus and another type I cant recall at the moment. Anyway I did this to my wb disk but virus x sends a message saying: "A virus that looks like BSG9 was found, on the file DF0:linkprot but its not the BSG9 virus. You should examine this file, and the 'Devs' directory on that disk." it doesnt say anything about eliminating the virus. THe program, viruscope used "Linkprotector V1.01" and Im just not sure what any of this means, ie is this very bad or is it normal with linkprotector. please respond via email and post follow-ups to the appropriate newsgroups. and what virus checker is the most recent? again thanks. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Best way to accelerate a Macintosh is at 9.8m/sec/sec <apologies to larry philips :) > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- o o | The Undertaker // << md41@cunixb.cc.columbia.edu >> | Amerikkka's Most Wanted :-) \X/ /> <\ | Chi Omega Rho ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- War has started as of 7:00 EST on 1/16/90.
