Has anyone out there got any practical examples of programming the ECS agnus variable sync/blank registers to roll their own video modes?? I've got some sketchy documentation on the ECS chip registers (obtained from CBM NZ), but all it's got to say about setting up non-standard modes is 'other modes, such as VGA (31khz programmable mode) disable the hard stops on display sync and blank. DO NOT WRITE TO THIS REHISTER' which isn't really a lot of help! What I really need are examples of the hsstrt, hsstop, vsstrt, vsstop etc register values should be for PAL and NTSC, and information on how the values relate to each other, at the moment I'm trying to suss the interelation by trial and error, but I'm getting nowhere fast... ----------------------------------------------------------- | o John Davis - CHEM194@canterbury.ac.nz o | | o (Depart)mental Programmer,Chemistry Department o | | o University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand o | | o o | | o co-sysop AmigaINFO BBS,1200/2400 baud CCITT, o | | o 24 hours a day, ph NZ +3-3371-531 o |
