[comp.sys.amiga.programmer] Moving system stack to 32bit memory.

doctorj@en.ecn.purdue.edu (Jeffrey W Davis) (02/09/91)

I am searching for a program to move the system stack into 32bit memory
to conserve a few more bytes of CHIP and avoid possible bus contention
on accesses to the custom chips.

I have heard that these programs exist already. I don't really need
any more projects right now. So if someone could please send me a
copy of one of these type programs, or point me in the right direction,
I would be eternally grateful! If you have it online, just uuencode
and mail it to me... Thanx.

I wrote a program called MoveSSP for version 1.2 and 1.3 of
the OS that does this, but it cannot, and does not, free
the area of CHIP RAM where the old System Stack was.

Under KS 2.0 and higher the SSP is automatically in
FAST RAM. I uploaded MoveSSP to bix and I have
seen it on some BBS's
