I have looked at the RKM (latest blue book) at the IFF spec, and unfortunately I cannot understand how IFF supports 24 bits. I supposed that since there really isn't a limit to how many bitplanes you can store as part of an image, you can go ahead and store 24 bitplanes in the BODY, but this seems a bit odd to me (I don't know why though). Could someone explain to me, am I correct about just storing 24 bitplanes? Or have I missed something in the 3rd party stuff? Or am I halucinating? thanks brian moffet
