[comp.sys.amiga.programmer] SOFTWARE ERROR GURU on boot

moster@iris.ucdavis.edu (Richard Haynes Moster) (03/09/91)

For about a month now, about 1/2 the time I boot my 1000 (v. 1.3) with
either of my normal boot disks I get a SOFTWARE ERROR GURU crash as
the startup-sequence is executing. It never happened before about a
month ago. If I go through the "cancel" and guru alert, it reboots
	just fine.

Is this a virus? Could my Kicksart be bad, but work sometimes??!? The
intermittant nature of this problem has me worried. Why would the same
problem suddenly appear on two different workbench disks? Could my
	disk drive be the problem?

If any of you have experienced this or have any ideas re this, your
	input would be much appreciated.

	Perplexed in Davis,
	Richard
