There were several messages prior to this one about creating a program that
will change the gadget images on the 1.3 windows to resemble that of the 2.0
windows (hence NewLook). You can change the gadget images in NewLook your
self to resemble the 2.0 ones, but I'm sure the programmer would be unhappy if
you released a modified NewLook to the PD (or mabey not?). So my question is,
is there a source code to any NewLook type program and/or a NewLook type
program that got the gadget images from editable IFF brushes?
Now for my second question:
Is it possible to write something that will make the depth gadgets work more
like the 2.0 gadgets? e.g. Change the rightmost gadget so that when the
window is in back, bring it to the front, and vice versa (like WB 2.0). And
mabey you could make the left depth gadget into either an iconify gadget or a
full window gadget, which would be nice to use in conjunction with the
modifies NewLook program (to change the gadgets to ther proper images). And
while I'm at it, why not add a close gadget to the shell windows that injects
an 'endshell' to the window?
I would like to try this programming my self, but I'd probablly not be able to
do it (I know VERY little C, and am not a proud owner of a Rom Kernal manual).
Anyone interested in making such a program? Any responce will be
appreciated...
