Does anyone know of a good book for someone who is trying to program on the A500 in Assembly? I am using Assempro, and althogh the documentation that came with the software had some examples of how to open windows, scrrens, When I try it I always manage to crash the computer. Also, are there any FTP sites from where I can get code (assembler) to look at? -vcbowles@129.15.20.2 Stamp out stamps!

If you can program in C I would recommend you the "Amiga ROM Kernal - Libraries & Devices" (Commodore / Addison Wesley) though the basics of intuition should be understandable. You could try the Abacus book "Amiga Machine Language" I think there are some examples and explanations about intution. You should remember one thing, making a little mistake in your ASM programs is EASY, and intuition are likely to crash just of VERY small mistakes... so take a good advice, look your programs through an extra time, you'll probably find some bugs! > came with the software had some examples of how to open windows, scrrens, > When I try it I always manage to crash the computer. Any ASM programmer with respect of himself, has made a program which opens a standard intuition screen/windown (exclude all the hardware-hackers shame on them!). > > -vcbowles@129.15.20.2 Stamp out stamps!
