I'm not sure to what you are referring to here but if its the gap between the container and the scroll bar, I was under the impression that it was supposed to be there, I think it looks better than totally filling in the container. I just wish the slider (the auto-knob variety) had the 3-D look (see motif sliders). Is there a way to use custom imagery for an auto-knob? Perhaps a routine that could be called by intuition when the knob needs to be resized to redo the imagery? Intuition should still be able to move it by itself. Also, i've noticed that pictures on the manuals for the A3000 show 3-D looking gadgets, but the actual gadgets are just 2-D looking on a 3-D raised (or depressed when selected) box. (yes, I read the readme that said the pictures in the manual might vary from the actual pictures, but I think the pictures in the manual look better.) What happened? Is there an O.S. supported/friendly way to change system gadget imagery? I don't mean for this to sound like a complaint, I'm really very happy with WB2.02. It is a GREAT improvement over WB1.3. -- VAX Headroom Speaking for myself only... blah blah blahblah blah... You can use a custom image for a knob, but not for an auto-knob. One day, perhaps. >Also, i've noticed that pictures on the manuals for the A3000 show >3-D looking gadgets, but the actual gadgets are just 2-D looking on a 3-D >raised (or depressed when selected) box. They actually look terrible in real-life. The reason is that the interior area of the gadgets is several precious pixels smaller, which meant that the designs were too small to be legible. It looked muddy and confused. Also, there were too many lines and too many tiers of 3D-relief. You will find a new version of WBGauge on a Fish disk RSN. This new version (1.2) by a command line argument allows you to set the 3D look flag of the PropGadgets, either only into the Worbench windows or into all windows. This cannot be done in a supported/friendly way of course: WBGauge writes directly into structures belonging to other process. Not good at all from the programer's point of view, but as a user I like it. ;-) Jean-Michel -- \___/ Jean-Michel Forgeas \-/ cbmvax!cbmehq!cbmfra!swinjm!forgeas | The Software Winery -^- And, where is the universe ?
