Does anyone know where I can get a text formatter such as nroff or troff
for the Amiga? It need not be fancy (I'm outputting to a dot matrix printer)
but it should be cheap.
Have you tried Nro? The latest version I know of is on Fish disk 197. It's an
embedded control line text formatter (not WYSIWYG) with a macro capability.
There's also Proff (Fish 9), and ProffMacros (Fish 46). ProffMacros is two
sets of Proff macros emulating (with limitations) the "mm" and "ms" macro
sets from Un*x [nt]roff.
