[comp.sys.amiga.programmer] Arexx UUCP mail server

video@ccwf.cc.utexas.edu (Henry J. Cobb) (05/03/91)

Has anybody implemented an ARexx based mail server for their Amiga
UUCP node?

I'd like to set one up to handle archive requests for the SFB mailing
list.

I have. I've had it up since Feburary it seems to work pretty good,
but its specific to my environment. It basically works by using an
alias in UUCP to route mail to a parser. Once an hour it batches up
the requested files and sends it to the parent node.

Its pretty slick, but as I said its specific to my application. Its
amazing what you can do in a couple hundred lines of REXX.

Anyone who's interested in it E-Mail me and I'd be more than happy
to get you a copy.
