[comp.sys.amiga.programmer] RKM 2.0?

rlittle@comix.cs.uoregon.edu (Robert A. Little) (05/08/91)

Has anyone heard anything about the 2.0 Rom Kernal Manuals? Last I heard,
which was quite some time ago and from a shaky source, was that the release
notes were available to developers only... Anyone know when they will be
available for those of us without developer status?

We're working hard on them! A new addition to the ROM Kernel Manual
series, the Amiga User Interface Style Guide, should be in stores any
day now (or already). The Includes and Autodocs one should be there
very soon, as should a new DOS book from Bantam. The others
(Libraries, Devices (they've been split up), and Hardware) are close
and should appear throughout 1991. It's a BIG job. There are a LOT
more functions in 2.0, and a considerable amount of the existing
material must be re-written also.

	Thanks for your patience.

	Paul.
