In a recent posting @jason.cbmami.UUCP asked whether it was possible to boot an Amiga from EPROM. A friend designed all the hardware for a customer who had exactly the same requirement.... to boot from an A500 motherboard with no internal drive or keyboard. I wrote all the autoboot software for the device and it all works perfectly. In a nutshell, we have exactly what this company is looking for. A FULLY TESTED AND OPERATIONAL system for booting an A500 motherboard without floppies/keyboards etc. The board also supports up to 8MB of RAM and can be modified to have any other options (timers etc) that the company might require. The software is very flexible and does not need to be rewritten for different configurations. If you could give me the company name and a contact address we can probably help them cut way down on the development cost of a similar system when one is already available. Best to reach me by EMAIL and not crowd the newsgroup bandwidth.... You could even write to me if you like.... Will McGovern (Student) Department of Computer and Electrical Eng.
