Brett Casebolt, the author of Scene Generator and now Scene Animator, has what appears to be a bug in OpenWindow. This problem does not seem to occur when it is in NTSC mode. Below is Brett's discription of his problem: Help! I've been programming Amigas for 5 years and two days ago I ran into a bug that has been driving me crazy. 1) I do an OpenScreen (640x256 PAL screen). 2) I do an OpenWindow (640x256 PAL size window) 3) Intuition clears an 880 byte area in chip memory. 4) This would normally go un-noticed, but it happened to clear some of my programs Image data. When the window was opened, the FirstGadget ptr was set to NULL. 5) I check the Image Data immediately before the call to OpenWindow and it is OK. 6) I check it again immediately after the OpenWindow and it has been cleared (an 880 byte section of it). 7) 880 bytes is the exact size of memory that would be needed for one bitplane of a HiRes title bar. (11 lines by 80 bytes per line). Brett Casebolt, Natural Graphics (916) 624-1436 or FAX (916) 624-1406. ----- Any help would be appreciated.
