What I already know: Sculpt 4D saves its objects in an IFF format. The IFF documents I have mention that the Sculpt4D form called "SC3D" is an "Unregistered third-party form" - which basically means that no-one knows what the form IS. I know what the "EDGE", "FACE", and "LINE" components of the form are - I worked that much out for myself. What I don't know: What are the other mysterious components? i.e. "WRLD", "LAMP", "OBSV", etc. - apart from the fact that they imply "world", "lamp", and "observer" information. Why I want to know: I want to write a conversion program to read sculpt4d objects and translate them into Rayshade text files, and perhaps vice versa. What YOU should do as soon as you finish reading this post: Send me mail about the WRLD, LAMP, OBSV. Give me all your information, even the most trivial scrap of data would help. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- s851867@minyos.xx.rmit.OZ.AU is a trademark of DATA EVIL, a PadSoft company, a MingWare subsidiary.
