olympus!jupiter@mlb.semi.harris.com mailed me this program in responce to an earlier posting of mine. I have been unable to get it to work and I would like and appreciate some help getting it to work. When I try to uudecode it at home I get checksum errors but it uudecodes fine on the unix machine I have access to. Either way I get the problem described below. Help please, I'm frustrated. I'd also appreciate the location of a newer version of uu#? For some reason I am getting the "file is not an object module" error when I try to run it. I have snipped all lines before begin and after end. When I try to vi it it says "Incomplete last line". Either way I get the problem described |below. Kurt, I just tried to extract your file here on teksce (a Sun 3), and it bombed with multiple checksum errors. (19 out of the 24 lines in the file.) I'd say that the uudecode on your Unix machine is broken, if it couldn't find the checksums. For that matter, so is the version your sender used, since there are spaces in the body of the uuencoded file. The newer versions of uu(en|de)code use the back-quote (`) character where spaces were originally used. (Spaces can cause all sorts of problems, what with crufty news software, and editors that truncate lines that end in spaces.) I believe that MoveSSP is available from ab20.larc.nasa.gov. If I remember right, it came across the net in either the binaries or sources group. Uuencode/uudecode should be available there, too. If not, let me know, and I'll try to get 'em uploaded. If you don't have access to ab20, send me mail, and I'll send you the programs. It'll take a while though; I don't have my archives in any kind of order.
